Now that the event is over, the real work can begin! Reach out to the organizations you signed up with, find out how and when you can get involved. If you didn't get a chance to talk with a group, visit their website and send them an email.

It's a great big issue we're facing with climate change and it's going to take every single one of us to do the necessary work. Now is the time to take action.

  • Organizations Involved

The Rogue Valley Climate Bash is proudly organized by

    Geos Institute

The Geos Institute is a team of scientists, facilitators, and process innovators who work on the systems where we believe our focus can have the greatest impact on people and the natural world – community decision making, forest management, and river system restoration.

  • We're honored to have these local organizations participating!

    Rogue Climate

Our mission is to empower Southern Oregon communities most impacted by climate change, including low-income, rural, youth, and communities of color, to win climate justice by organizing for clean energy, sustainable jobs, and a healthy environment. We do so through leadership development, political education, fostering conversations, and campaigns for policies that benefit our communities over the special interests of the largest corporations.

    Citizens Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. Our consistently respectful, nonpartisan approach to climate education is designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for climate action across all geographic regions and political inclinations. By building upon shared values rather than partisan divides, and empowering our supporters to work in keeping with the concerns of their local communities, we work towards the adoption of fair, effective, and sustainable climate change solutions.

    Southern Oregon Pachamama Alliance Community

We are Southern Oregonians inspired by a bold vision: "bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet." … and we invite you to join us. A volunteer Core Team calls our community together, sharing with individuals and groups throughout our region the educational programs developed by the Pachamama Alliance, notably Reversing Global Warming: An Introduction to Drawdown and the 5-part Drawdown Solutions: Getting into Action workshop series to support you in your unique contribution to reversing global warming

    City of Ashland, Oregon

Global warming is already affecting Ashland and the surrounding region and climate-related impacts are projected to become much more severe in the coming decades. Using a citizen-led process, our community created a plan to reduce our carbon emissions and prepare for climate related impacts. Ashland’s Climate and Energy Action Plan lays the groundwork for positive climate action for City operations and the larger community.

    Ashland Community Solar

Ashland Community Solar (CS) empowers all Ashland citizens to choose and benefit from
clean, locally produced Solar Power. Ashland residents (home, business and renters
alike) are credited monthly on their Ashland electric bill for power produced. Energy
Cooperative options are on the horizon. Join us in this epic transition from fossil fuel to
    Wind and Solar Energy.

    Electric Vehicles Ashland

Moving Ashland off fossil fuels, one EV at a time. Electric Vehicles Ashland (EVA) is creating a pool of electric vehicles (EVs) for local businesses and other organizations that provide services in Ashland (e.g. food or floral delivery, real estate, home medical care, food bank, hospitality, etc.). New and low-mileage used vehicles can be purchased by participants, with monetary incentives and a fleet discount from EVA. All residents of the Rogue Valley can participate as well, and will receive the same fleet discounts as businesses.

Ashland High School’s Climate Change Solution Class

This is a new class dedicated to students discovering how they can best address climate change. We put on community meetings where students can share their views on this pressing issue. We are dedicated to helping the City of Ashland implement its Climate and Energy Action Plan. We try to stay abreast of current issues and to be deeply politically engaged. Finally, we incorporate mindfulness so that we can enjoy the journey.
